Have You Heard that the Assembly Rewards School Teams?
Special group rates are available until February 1.
Get the most value out of the Assembly by registering with your school's team:
- Identify those in your school community--both professionals and volunteer leaders--who will benefit most from attending the Assembly. Encourage your next Board Chair, if known, to join the team.
- Plan ahead with your school's team members by identifying goals and outcomes for your Assembly experience.
- Divide and conquer! Pick sessions that enable each member of your team to gain specific skills and new perspectives in the areas most relevant to his/her work.
- Convene as a group during special school team meeting times during the Assembly in order to de-brief. Process the potential impact of what you are learning on your school.
- Take the knowledge and energy of the Assembly back to your school--in the Board room, around the faculty lunch table, in administrative team meetings, with parents--and throughout your community.
- Follow-up on the top learnings you take from the Assembly in the weeks and months immediately following the event. Reconvene your school's Assembly team in May to check in with each other on progress and to set goals for the next school year.

New for 2008: Pre-Assembly Workshops
To cover some of the basics that won't be addressed in Assembly sessions, this year's Assembly features five Sunday morning extended workshops. These sessions, meeting from 9:30 am-12:30 pm* on Sunday, April 6, provide intensive exposure to expertise and best practice. Start your Assembly experience off with a burst of knowledge in one of these areas:
- Development 101
- Market Research Strategies
- Website Basics
- Putting Your Strategic Plan into Action
- Partners in Leadership (for pairs of new board chairs and heads of school)
- How a School Is not like a Business: Fiduciary Responsibility for Day Schools
Space is limited in these workshops, and pre-registration is required, though there is no additional registration fee. More details will be available for registered Assembly participants.
