Generations National

WHAT IS GENERATIONS NATIONAL?

Generations National is a three-year endowment-building program that transforms school budgets through the cultivation and solicitation of outright and legacy gifts to a school’s endowment. Generations National is borne out of the successful Generations pilot program. Launched in 2012, Generations schools have raised more than $61 million in endowment funds to date.

With development coaching customized for each school, virtual and national trainings, incentive grants, and structured program management and support to reach campaign goals, your school will build its endowment funds—and provide an insurance policy for our Jewish future. As part of a growing endowment-building movement, Generations National leverages the results, cumulative learning, and experience from 30 schools in the four current Generations communities of Los Angeles, Baltimore, New York, and Boston.

WHY SHOULD JEWISH DAY SCHOOLS BUILD ENDOWMENTS?

Endowment provides donors the opportunity to impart their most cherished values and beliefs to future generations. A robust endowment:

  • Ensures that present-day investments are secured in perpetuity.
  • Offers donors influence beyond their lifetimes.
  • Lowers the pressure in the annual scramble to make budget.
  • Provides outstanding Jewish and secular education to more families.
  • Enables your school to invest in cutting-edge curriculum and program excellence.
  • Makes your school more competitive with independent schools.
  • Creates enhanced funding opportunities for donors.
  • Delivers an attractive alternative to committed donors with cash limitations.
  • Affords your school the chance to keep down tuition costs.
