Expertise and Coaching

Research has shown, and PEJE's experience has confirmed, that as much as day schools need funding, they also benefit from quality consultation and technical assistance. Funds get spent, but knowledge and skills gained from working with coaches and other experts can have long-term impact.

All schools face continuous challenges in their development. A growing network of committed people, with a variety of experience and expertise, is available. Many of PEJE's programs are designed to leverage this network and incorporate delivery of expertise to promote excellence in Jewish day school education. PEJE coaches offer intensive and individualized support for cultivating school leadership and facilitating school improvement through PEJE's work of the school framework.

Advice from PEJE Leadership Line
By using the Leadership Line, a range of day school leaders have received helpful, actionable advice on a variety of concerns and challenges. In a survey of Leadership Line participants, 100 percent of respondents said that they would recommend the resource to a colleague.

The Leadership Line is a free, (approximately) one-hour phone call with a PEJE coach who has broad expertise and extensive Jewish day school experience. To date, school leaders have dialed in regarding topics from board development to head support/evaluation to student recruitment/retention. Callers have included heads of school, board chairs, and development and admission officers. In some cases, two or more leaders have participated--for example, a board chair plus a head of school or a support and evaluation committee. Leadership Line callers say they've appreciated the practical advice and the opportunity to bring a fresh, expert perspective back to their schools.

To arrange a call, please email the Leadership Line.

A PEJE coach will reply and schedule your call.
