PEJE’s conferences and assemblies are planned based on several key principles and best practices: First and foremost is an underlying assumption that day schools are precious communal assets that are central to a vibrant, enduring Jewish future.
Second is the importance of collaboration. We do not underestimate our field’s potential for enhanced influence as a collective. Realizing this goal requires a sustained focus on relationship building both as we plan our conferences and assemblies, and after they are over—both within and beyond the walls of each institution.
Third, we need strategic tools to strengthen our capacity and to ensure financial sustainability. Through PEJE conferences and assemblies, day school leaders learn new approaches to problem solving, receive expert advice, and realize concrete solutions to address the challenges facing Jewish day schools today.
